Adam Milstein Finds Hope in Diaspora Jews

Adam Milstein is confident that Jews from around the globe will rise to meet the current challenges that they face. Some organizations, such as the Boycott, Divestments, and Sanctions (BDS) movement work to create division amongst Israeli and the Diaspora Jews; however, there are numerous young Jewish Americans who are passionate activists ready to lead the next generation.

Adam Milstein often sees the enthusiasm for Israeli culture throughout his philanthropic work with the Israeli American Council (IAC) or one of the many Jewish organizations supported by the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation (MFF). In fact, through his foundation, Milstein works to inform and inspire student leaders and young professionals to learn more about these modern-day challenges that the next generation of Jews will face, such as BDS, and get involved in the fight against anti-Semitism and extremism.

Organizations Supported by the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation

IAC Adam Milstein The Milstein Family Foundation’s mission is to bring strength to the State of Israel and its connection with Jewish Americans. The MFF supports numerous organizations that promote Israel such as the Israeli-American Council (IAC), the American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF), Hasbara Fellowships, and the Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC). Adam Milstein actively serves on the board of many of these entities.

Because the MFF’s mission is to help young professionals and students connect with their Jewish roots and ignite pride for their culture, the foundation focuses on three key principles as part of its philanthropic work:

  1. Active Philanthropy– The Milstein Family Foundation is actively involved in the organizations it supports using both time and energy to promote them rather than simply contributing money. The Milsteins seeks to help others grow and succeed.
  2. Life Path Impact –A belief of the MFF’s philanthropic philosophy is to begin engaging its target audience early on, and continue educating young people through programs leading into adulthood. This helps to create a lifelong impact on the next generation. .
  3. Philanthropic Synergy –By pooling the resources of multiple pro-Israel organizations, the MFF is able to maximize the impact of the organizations it supports in a synergistic and effective manner.

Adam Milstein and the MFF are making an impact on the way that many Jewish Americans, and even non-Jewish American students and young professionals, view Jewish culture. Some of the types of organizations that the MFF supports include those that combat anti-Semitism on college campuses, connect non-Israeli Americans with the State of Israel, provide health, medical, and community services for Jewish Americans, monitor the accuracy of the media when reporting on Israel and Jewish American affairs, and outreach programs for youth and young professionals.

What Adam Milstein Sees in Today’s Young Israeli-American People

Adam Milstein IAC There is no doubt in Adam Milstein’s mind that Diaspora Jews will rise to meet today’s challenges, and knows that future Jewish leaders will be ready to face them. The lineage of great Jewish leaders spans from David Ben-Gurion, to Golda Meir, to the next generation of Jews who are willing to do what it takes to fight for their communities.

Today, new heroes and leaders are emerging. Through different organizations, students and young people have the opportunity to travel to Israel and discover its rich history and beauty. When they make this journey, they come back energized and eager to maintain their Jewish identity – and eventually pass it on to their own families.

Adam Milstein has witnessed many occasions where young Israeli-Americans have become connected to their heritage and culture. He has seen teenagers participate in youth groups like Tzofim and Bnei Akiva who go on to serve in the IDF. They make the decision to become active in promoting and defending their homeland and communities across the world against those who seek to cause division.

The Jewish American Leaders of Tomorrow

Milstein believes that when you are passionate about something, it is easy to find the energy to do it- he is extremely passionate about preserving the heritage of the Jewish people.

His passion is ignited when he meets the many incredibly hard-working leaders of today who are dedicated to fighting anti-Semitism and promoting Jewish culture. He is also excited and inspired by all of the young people who will become the leaders of tomorrow.

He believes that young people will become the bridge between America and Israel, and that they will continue the work needed to strengthen the Jewish American community, and shape the Jewish future. Milstein believes that it is the responsibility of the older generations to provide them with the tools and the platform that they need, and he works tirelessly to do so.
